...g'day to all members...

...still into music and photography...got a couple of 1Ds now, some decent lenses but health is slowing the photography down, just like the cooking...

...the major difference in me is big lump of stainless technology buried in my left breast...an ICD, or defibrilator to the unititiated...it's connected by wire to my heart and will give me wake-up call if my heart gets a funny rhythm...hasn't happened yet and I kinda hope it doesn;t have to...it communicates via the web with the cardiologists at Prince Charles Hospital...it also makes some appointments very easy...my ICD talks to a monitor which in turn then passes on relevant info to the Hospital...don't have to leave home for a Specialist Consultation...

...I've got a feeling that this 'episode' I'm going thru will turn out in my favour...if so, I hope I won't be too much of a nuisance...:-)

That's a good setup on it. Saves a lot of time from the sounds of it. Wishing the very best on it.

Glad to hear you're still chugging along.

Man, I would not want to work on one of those web-connected medical devices. I stressed out enough vetting the forum's security, and that doesn't even have any lives depending on it.

...thanks....I've been added to, again....

...in lieu of a whack of canulas, I now have a 50cm PICC line running a triple input for various drugs to reach the ol' ticker a bit quicker...can be utilised for about 6 weeks...

...beats getting new canulas every 3 or 4 days...

...an' it's all good as far as I'm concerned...I'm just thankful that there are smarter bastards, than me, in this world who think up, research, and achieve results like this...

That's great news Nick!
Yep. Medical research and results like this are amazing these days.

...there is also another major change in my life...

...I'm now a resident on an island of sand in Northern Moreton Bay...I own my own little cave, and it is currently being remodelled...I'm less than 200m, as the crow flies, from the 'surf' beach...I am yet to immerse the body decrepit in salt water...nearly impossible for me to perambulate over sand...

...could possibly get in to the water over on the darkside but there are Noahs in Pumicestone Passage...

...I get about using a Pride Sport Rider, for fun, shopping and general mayhem on the bikeways...I haven't tested it for distance but have achieved a roundtrip of 45km...

...I also use a Pride Gogo...it's a pull apart 'traveller' that gets me on to Public Transport...very handy when I have to go to town...
